A sunny January day saw Shelford Women’s Rugby team swap kicking tees for trees as we welcomed them to Wandlebury Country Park for a volunteering day. The team (and coach Darren) helped us by shifting large logs to the edge of the woodland for firewood extraction, making stakes and splitting firewood. The latter being by far the favourite activity of the day!

A day in the woods was not only good fitness but also great for team bonding and having 14 strong people in the woods to shift logs is a huge help to CPPF.

We hope to see them back again in the future!
