As Cambridge's independent charity that cares for its green spaces and heritage we are reliant upon donations from members, donors and supporters. Without any statutory funding this means that in addition to our membership income we have to fund raise through applying for grants, working with corporate sponsors, offering legacy opportunities and gifts in memory and running fundraising events throughout the year.

Each year we need to raise money to care for and maintain the green spaces and historic buildings in our care - this costs over £10,000 per month.

In addition to running our public sites we conduct specific projects which we also need to raise funds for. For example, at the moment we are raising funds for:

- Land for Nature and Cambridge Nature Network

- Save Bourn Mill!

- restoration work and improved facilities at the Leper Chapel

- to create a new wetland at Coton Countryside Reserve

We are looking for volunteers to carry out fundraising support, such as:

  • Organise or host a fundraising event - a coffee morning, drinks evening, dinner, talk, walk, fun-run, golf day, quiz night, bingo, etc in aid of Cambridge Past, Present & Future
  • Giving your time and skills or stuff - we need admin and research help
  • Attending public fairs and events on our behalf
  • Talking to visitors to our sites - could you come and help at a weekend at Wandlebury

Full support and training will be given. We can accept people over the age of 18 looking for work experience.
